Keeping a journal in xiki seems so straightforward – surely I can help things along with a bit of a plugin.

How is this very different from a blog?

Design points
  • Journal root topic: [{USERNAME}'s Journal]
  • Daily journal entry: [{USERNAME}'s Journal, DD MMM YYYY]
  • Use calendar plugin to display items in a monthly calendar.
  • Need a variable that expands to the user's journal root page.
  • Need a way to create/edit "today's" entry, without having to enter today's date.
  • Need a way to search just journal entries.
